Gigantic Rare Sea Turtle Mistakenly Captured By Fishermen Regains Its Freedom...(Photos)




A gigantic olive ridley sea turtle was released to the sea in Quanzhou, southeast China's Fujian Province, March 17, 2016. The turtle, weighing more than 67.5 kilograms and has body length over 107 centimeters, was accidentally caught by local fishermen previously. Olive ridley sea turtle is a class II protected species in China and is classified as “vulnerable” according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).
